Hydrolysis Optimization of Beneng Taro Tubers (Xantoshoma undipes K. Koch) as Bioethanol Raw Material

This study conducted to assess the most appropriate method or hydrolysis of beneng taro tuber optimize production bioethanol investigate effect pHs, times, and temperatures on reducing sugar produced. The concentration was determined using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. result obtained indicated that optimum amount (910,875 mg/L ) achieved at pH 10, time 3 hours, temperature 90 °C. Fermentation powdered bark raru plant produced 0,18765 % (v/v) fermentation Saccharomyces cerevisiae 0,2116 bioethanol.
